Privacy Policy
Sidhu Legal respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle personal information.
What this policy covers
This policy applies to personal information Sidhu Legal receives through this website: the contact form, any email you send us, and basic, cookie-free visit statistics. Private organizations in British Columbia are governed by the Personal Information Protection Act, and we handle your information in line with it.
What we receive
When you write to us, you give us your name, how to reach you, the area of law your question falls under, and whatever you choose to tell us about it. The site also records which page you were on and how you arrived, so we know which pages people find useful. We do not ask for identification, financial details or documents through the website.
Why we use it
To reply to you, to check that taking on your matter would not conflict with a client we already act for, and, if you hire us, to open and run your file. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not use it to send marketing you did not ask for.
Who else sees it
Form submissions pass through the software providers that run our website and client intake. They process it for us and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. Otherwise we share information only when you ask us to, when your matter requires it, or when the law requires it. What you tell us for the purpose of getting legal advice is protected by solicitor-client privilege.
Seeing or correcting your information
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask a question about this policy. Contact us using the details on the Contact page and we will answer in writing.
This site is not legal advice
Pages and articles on this site explain the law in general terms. They are not advice about your situation, and writing to us does not make us your lawyers. That happens only once we have confirmed we can act for you and you have agreed to our terms.
